Otto Rantala-Jørgensen has spent most of his life in professional kitchens and was born into the industry. Today, he works with large-scale events, intimate communal dinners, and pop-ups from his event venue Eva&Otto on Ny Østergade. With a background as head chef at traditional bistros in Copenhagen and as the owner of Restaurant Bjørnekælderen at just 21 years old, classical craftsmanship remains the foundation of everything he does.
“Food has always been a big part of my life. I grew up in a kitchen and have always been drawn to the atmosphere, the pace, and the craftsmanship involved in creating a great meal for other people.
To me, a knife should be simple and reliable every single day. It should feel good in the hand, stay sharp, and withstand long services without any unnecessary extras.
