With regular use, knife marks and scratches will naturally occur, but these can easily be removed using a scouring pad. Lightly scrubbing the surface, followed by the application of beeswax and thorough wiping, will restore the fiber to its natural sheen. Simple, quick, and highly effective.

As the cutting board is made from natural materials, it may absorb moisture and react to heat and long dishwasher cycles – for example ECO programs. Repeated exposure to heat and moisture may cause the board to temporarily warp or bend. This does not affect the material’s integrity or durability.

In most cases, the cutting board will return to its original shape once it has dried completely. The process can be accelerated by turning the board over and allowing it to dry in the opposite direction, with the top side facing down. If necessary, place a lightly damp cloth and some weight on top and leave it overnight. Once fully dry, the board will typically regain its original form and stability.

Organic fiber construction

And material information.

Organic fiber is made from residual or cultivated wood, which is processed into wood fibers and then formed into fiberboards through a method similar to paper production. The fibers are bonded with 4% phenolic resin, providing the material with exceptional strength. The cutting boards are fully dyed with natural pigments developed by Kregmer Pigmente in Germany to prevent staining from food. The pigments are tested by TÜV Rheinland laboratories. In addition, the cutting boards are tested by international laboratories and are reviewed annually by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. They are FSC®-certified, PFAS-free, and possess antibacterial properties similar to those found in wood and bamboo. The boards are dishwasher-safe and equipped with four silicone feet for added stability during use. Organic fiber is recyclable and naturally biodegradable.

The cutting board is made from FSC®-certified organic fibers sourced from sustainable forestry. A durable and heat-resistant material that protects the knife edge and withstands temperatures up to 170°C, making it ideal as a base for hot pots. It is through-colored in Night Black. Organic fiber also resists discoloration from food – offering both hygienic and aesthetic benefits.
