Scandinavian design. Portuguese craftsmanship.
This apron is the result of an exclusive design partnership between Endeavour and a specialised, family-owned sewing atelier in Portugal with over 30 years of experience in workwear and technical textile production.
The design is based on the traditional chef apron but reimagined in a contemporary context with a focus on form, function, and materiality.
It’s constructed from heavyweight canvas made of 100% cotton, spun and plant-dyed locally in northern Portugal, and precisely sewn near Porto.
It is defined by its clean design language and uncompromising functionality:
an adjustable neck strap with metal details, soft waist ties for added comfort, and three asymmetrically placed pockets – two on the front and one upper pocket for tools or notes.
The material is enzyme-washed without harmful chemicals to highlight the fabric’s raw texture and natural character – ensuring both comfort and a beautiful patina over time.
Material and production.
The apron is made from heavyweight, soft Panama-woven cotton (320 g/m²), known for its exceptional durability and natural wrinkle resistance.
The fabric is woven from 100% Oeko-Tex 100-certified cotton with a dense construction (10/10, 88 x 36), and is both woven and dyed in northern Portugal, between Famalicão and Guimarães.
The soft and durable cotton straps are woven at a specialised mill just 10 minutes from the atelier.
Care instructions.
To help your apron maintain its quality, structure, and colour over time, we recommend the following care guidelines:
Washing
• Machine wash at 40°C with similar colours
• Avoid bleach to preserve both fabric and colour
• Iron on medium heat to enhance the fabric’s natural texture
• Do not tumble dry – air dry to maintain shape and longevity
• Use a mild, chemical-free detergent to protect the enzyme-washed surface
With proper care, your apron will develop a beautiful patina and retain its durability for years to come.
