Simple. Ceramic. Electric.
Alora is crafted from reinforced mid-temperature clay, selected for its strength, low water absorption, and resistance to temperature fluctuations.
Production begins with a refined clay slurry, shaped with precision using techniques such as slip casting and jiggering. After slow drying, the piece undergoes its first firing at approximately 800°C (biscuit firing), followed by decoration with hand-applied, mineral-based colors – completely free from lead and cadmium.
A transparent, food-safe glaze is then applied and fired at up to 1300°C, where it fuses with the clay to create a smooth, strong, and highly durable surface.
Finally, each detail is refined, and the kettle is naturally cooled without chemical processes. The result is an honest and durable product, created with respect for both material and user.
Behind the name.
The name Alora carries meanings that reflect both elegance and inspiration. In Bantu, it is associated with “my dream,” while in Latin it relates to “dreamer.” It is also linked to light and radiance – a fitting reflection of the kettle’s ceramic surface and pure performance.
